Let's Talk About Werewolf Packs
General Pack Information
Werewolf packs work much the same way that real wolf packs do. Werewolves just like real wolves feel the need for a pack to feel secure and safe. Werewolves can go lone wolf but the longer they go without a pack, the odder they get. Weak wolves never make it, other going completely mad or getting killed by the pack wolves.
Within a pack an alpha exist and so does the chain of dominance. Dominance determines where you stand in the pack. To become more dominant you have to challenge the wolf above you. If you've been around a pack long enough you can figure out how to list the pack in order of dominance.
Females dominance is determined by her mate's standing in the pack. This is something that the current alpha is trying to change, giving females a chance for higher rank in the pack without a mate or being held back by their mate.
An alpha has many purposes. He keeps the pack in line, hunts down rogue wolves, leads, and helps new wolves control their inner wolf. An alpha's word is law. The Mysteria Pack used to not except 'mutts', cursed wolves, but the current alpha is trying to change this also.
Werewolf behavior is a lot like real wolves also. Any eye contact that last for more than a few seconds is seen as a challenge. If a fight doesn't break out, the first to look away loses. Greetings sometimes work the same way that normal friendly wolves do. A rub of cheek against cheek until noses end up buried in the hair behind the ear and smelling there. A submissive greeting can be a soft kiss or running your tongue over the dominants bottom lip. To petition another pack member for protection, you move in close without actually touching them. If your petition is accepted, the pack member will touch you. Petitioning another member means you accept them as being dominament.
During the nights of the full moon, the pack meets and runs together, hunting as a pack. Werewolves aren't the most modest people and usually strip right there before shifting.

The Mysteria Pack as been occupying the town since it was founded, the alpha at the time being one of the ones to found the town. The pack is larger now than it was when it first settled here. The pack currently has 25 members, most living out in the woods where the pack owns a series of cabins. The alphas cabin sits in the cent of them and is the largest.;
